Fabricator: Rockford, Illinois

Our customer in Rockford, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Fabricators to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, welding, and assembling metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities of the Fabricator:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Measure, cut, grind, and assemble steel materials to specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, and press brakes.
• Perform MIG welding, tack welding, and fitting as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
• Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Load, unload, and move steel materials throughout the facility.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Assist team members and other departments as needed.

Fabricator Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous fabrication or welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay for Fabricator: $20.00–$28.00/hour.

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 6:00am – 2:30pm. Overtime may include 10-hour shifts (6:00am – 4:30pm) and occasional Saturdays.
