At Cub Creek Science Camp, you won't just study pediatric nursing—you'll manage our Health Lodge, supervise healthcare staff, oversee medication administration, and serve as the primary medical authority in a vibrant outdoor community! Dates: Staff Training: May 30 - June 5 (1 week) Camp: June 6 - August 7 (9 weeks) Position Overview The Director of Health Services (Camp Nurse) is responsible for overseeing all medical care for campers and staff throughout the summer season. This position manages the Health Lodge, supervises medical staff, oversees medication systems, and serves as the primary medical contact for parents. What You'll Do Oversee clinical care, emergency triage, and Health Lodge operations for campers and staff. Manage all medication administration systems, health records, and standing order compliance. Supervise and mentor the Camp Health Coordinator and Health Lodge Assistants. Serve as the primary liaison to parents regarding camper health concerns, notifications, and care plans. Direct all off-site medical care decisions and emergency transport logistics in accordance with camp protocol. Collaborate closely with camp directors, cabin teams, and advocates to support holistic camper well-being and emotional needs. What We'll Provide Competitive Compensation: $10,000 for a 10-week summer (1 week training and 9 weeks of camp). All-Inclusive Living: Full housing, meals, and laundry services provided on-site for the contract period -save on summer expenses! Camp Store Credit: Includes an additional $10 store credit per week for snacks, gear, and supplies ($100 total). Schedule: Position requires on-site availability 7 days a week for the summer season. Current CPR and First Aid certifications, along with a valid driver's license. Background in healthcare, pediatric nursing, public health, or youth services preferred. Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, organizational abilities, and composure under pressure. Comfortable working in an active outdoor environment, walking up to 5 miles daily on uneven terrain, and working near animals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
