As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, assist visitors and staff, and support a welcoming environment. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and help protect people, property, and operations. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed: 06:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records in accordance with healthcare location policies. Respond to access-control incidents, restricted-area concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner. Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel and other stakeholders regarding access requests, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and surrounding areas as required by the location. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
