Program Management Director
Location: Blacksburg, Virginia
Full Time

Summary:
The Program Management Director will lead the Program Management function across all three Power and Data Division businesses. This role is responsible for driving consistency in program management processes, tools, and best practices while ensuring programs are executed to cost, schedule, and performance commitments for Moog and its customers.
The Director will develop functional strategies, establish program baselines, strengthen program management capabilities, mentor senior leaders, monitor program performance, and oversee recovery plans for underperforming programs. The role will also position Program Management as a driver of revenue growth and operating profit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, train, and oversee implementation of functional strategies and objectives for Program Management across the Power and Data Division.
• Lead the Program Management function across multiple Power and Data Division businesses.
• Directly lead and develop Program Management personnel.
• Establish program baselines to ensure execution meets or exceeds proposal margin targets.
• Develop and implement improved Program Management processes, tools, and best practices.
• Drive consistency across the three Business Units while supporting individual business needs.
• Build and mentor senior Program Management leadership.
• Ensure required Program Management competencies and behaviors are effectively embedded across the organization.
• Create performance metrics, dashboards, and management tools to monitor Program Management effectiveness.
• Review underperforming programs and partner with program leadership to develop mitigation and recovery plans.
• Oversee recovery execution and monitor results.
• Position Program Management as a growth enabler for revenue and operating profit.
• Collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization.
• Manage and develop relationships with customers at the executive level.
• Apply recognized Program Management standards and practices across government and commercial contract environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of Program Management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership capability within Program Management.
• Experience leading within a matrixed organization.
• Strong collaboration and influence skills.
• PMP certification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency managing government and commercial contract types using recognized industry standards.
• success managing customers at the executive level.
• Proven ability to: Develop functional strategies. Establish best practices. Implement large-scale processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA preferred.
• Prior experience in Aerospace & Defense.
• Experience in other highly regulated industries, such as pharmaceuticals.
• Experience leading Program Management functions across multiple business units.
• Experience developing dashboards, metrics, and performance-management tools.
• Experience managing program recovery and mitigation activities.
