Warehouse Logistics Manager

The Warehouse Logistics Manager will ensure that all activities are carried out efficiently and profitably. This position has supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and training warehouse employees, overseeing the daily workflow of the warehouse, scheduling and organizing employees to ensure proper staffing, providing constructive and timely performance evaluations, and handling discipline of employees per company policies in collaboration with Human Resources. This position is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met. Plan long‑range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees. Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts. Traces history of items to determine reason for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends actions to resolve discrepancies. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by monitoring safety & security procedures and protocols. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new designs layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement while monitoring the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards. Control and direct all transportation into and out of the warehouse. Studies shipping notices, bill of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Research carrier problems and monitor carrier compliance. Analysis and resolution of freight loss and damage claims. Develop and maintain a basic follow up system to ensure 0 shipping errors. Coordinate with other members of management to ensure efficient warehouse operations. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
