BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Call Center Representative job opportunity in West Lafayette, IN 47906!

Position Title: Call Center Representative

Location: West Lafayette, IN 47906

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 1+ Months Contract with the possibility of extension

Job Type: On Site

Pay Range: $20.00/hr. – $25.00/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming calls regarding campus housing options, application steps, deadlines, room assignments, move-in logistics, and related services.

• Provide friendly, professional, and clear information to students and families, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Escalate complex issues or unusual circumstances to the Housing team as needed.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing policies, processes, important dates, and frequently asked questions.

• Help identify and document recurring concerns or questions to improve resources and communication materials.

• Assist with other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and accuracy

• Comfort working with diverse student populations and their families

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn housing systems and call center software

Preferred:

• Prior experience in a call center, customer service, or higher education environment

• Familiarity with university housing processes or student services

• Bilingual proficiency is a plus (especially Spanish, Mandarin, or other commonly spoken languages in your population)

Working Conditions:

• Primarily seated work using a computer and headset/phone for extended periods

• In-person attendance is required each day.
