This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the R&D function. This position will report to Technical Service Director. Responsibilities Experience in testing personal care products on consumers. Work closely with hair stylist and help troubleshoot formulation issues when necessary. Work with support groups and the sales team on testing prototypes and market benchmarks. Develop new testing methodologies to show benefits of existing raw materials in finished formulations. Interface/collaborate with key customers. Travel: 10% of the time to see the US and meet colleagues. Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals and focusing on performance and safety. Improve the organization capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent and utilizing positive communications and influence with others. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with 10 years’ experience in formulating personal care products. 5-7 years' experience in formulating hair care products (shampoos, conditioners, treatments, masks, gels). Good people skills and good track record in managing teams and working well with the sales organization. Familiar with project management and works well in team environments. Preferred Skills M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. Efficient in statistical and/or image analysis. Skin care or make-up formulation is a plus. Experienced in evaluating hair care ingredients and developing methodologies to do it. Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.
