Truck Upfitter/Welder

W and W Body Builders is a family-owned company. We take pride in building high-quality custom truck bodies, dump bodies, flatbeds, repairs, and a wide range of custom fabrication projects.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Upfitter/ Welderto join our growing team. This role involves MIG welding, fitting, fabrication, and assembly of custom truck bodies, and metal fabrication projects. The ideal candidate has experience reading fabrication drawings, using shop equipment, and producing quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components
- Fabricate, fit, assemble, and repair truck bodies, dump bodies, flatbeds, trailers, and custom metal projects
- Must have your own toolbox
- Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately using a tape measure and shop tools
- Operate fabrication equipment such as shear, press brake, drill press, and other shop tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work closely with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Perform physical labor including lifting, bending, standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in a shop environment
Schedule
Full-Time
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime may be available
Hours of operation Monday through Friday 8 am till 5 pm
