Quantitative Finance Researcher for AI Evaluation

Quantitative finance researchers use advanced knowledge of mathematical finance, risk modeling, and quantitative methods to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of quantitative finance research and methodology. This is a flexible, part-time, project-based contract role that can be performed alongside other commitments.

• Create and annotate expert training data grounded in academic and research standards.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, methodological soundness, and relevance to current quantitative finance literature.
• Provide detailed corrections, explanations, and feedback on topics such as risk modeling, portfolio management, trading and market microstructure, and computational finance.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI research teams, meeting project-specific deliverables and quality guidelines.
• Contribute based on subject-matter expertise; no prior AI experience is required.

• PhD or Master degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Research background or coursework in areas such as computational finance, mathematical finance, portfolio management, risk management, statistical finance, trading, or market microstructure.
• Familiarity with arxiv.org, especially the Quantitative Finance repository (q-fin).
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.

• Location: Fully remote.
• Employment type: Part-time, hourly contract.
• Schedule: Flexible, asynchronous; there is no minimum hour requirement. Most contributors work approximately 5, 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• Engagement model: Ongoing, project-based work that can be taken on alongside other roles or commitments.
• Placement depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.

Up to $150/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate in projects. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility for your specific circumstances.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course or specific employer authorization rules, this program may not meet those institutional requirements.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
