Job Summary and Responsibilities The MRI technologist produces diagnostic quality images using MRI system and related equipment, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to departmental and medical center policies and procedures. What you will do in this role: Maintain a good working relationship with all staff members. Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule as required (alternate shifts, call rotation, etc.). Show initiative and work independently without constant supervision. Be responsible for completing assigned tasks and duties. Be punctual and dependable. Observe universal precautions and health and safety rules. Participate in continuing education essential for the field and patient improvement. Demonstrate good patient care skills and communicate compassionately to all age groups. Modify job duties as necessary. Appropriately assess patient pain and involve the patient in pain management using age‑appropriate interventions. Maintain HIPAA compliance. Maintain imaging QA requirements ( Ensure prompt, timely service for all outpatients. Monitor Patient Tracker to prevent excessive patient wait times. Strive to meet or exceed patient expectations for fast, efficient, and compassionate service. Maintain a clean environment and sanitize equipment between patients. Use kind words, salutations, smiles to promote a friendly approach. Wear identification badge at all times ( Takes call according to schedule. Complete all work before clocking out and leaving. Assist the radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Qualifications Registered Radiographer (ARRT). State Registered Radiologic Technician. Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers within 30 days of employment start date. Graduate of a 2‑year JRCERT program in Radiologic Technology (AD or BS preferred).
