Responsibilities Lead worship, communion, and conduct funerals, memorials, weddings, and other events. Support the congregation's programs and activities, including Christian education (church school and bible study), all ministries, special events, the choirs, etc. Identify, analyze, and coordinate the church’s involvement in community issues. Collaborate with community leaders to galvanize community action, and support the church's ongoing integration into the community through outreach and ministry. Provide pastoral services for those in crises, spiritual development, home and hospital visitations, support ministries for people in need, including hunger and clothing, substance abuse, youth, singles, and the elderly. Maintain office hours at the church 3 days a week. Lead and supervise professional staff, including an administrative assistant (secretary), sexton, choir director, organist/musician, a business administrator, and other support staff. Provide administrative direction of lay staff and the congregation. Have a vision for membership growth Support the development of a comprehensive stewardship plan that includes connecting to the community. Accountable to the Session through the Personnel Committee and the Presbytery. #J-18808-Ljbffr
