Construction Manager

Construction Manager A leader responsible for overseeing home construction in assigned communities, ensuring quality control, cost management, and adherence to schedules. Responsibilities Oversee all construction activities from inception to move‑in, scheduling and supervising trade partners. Conduct twice‑daily home walks to monitor progress, uphold quality standards, and maintain schedule compliance while optimizing profitability. Lead pre‑construction, pre‑drywall, and final presentation meetings. Negotiate solutions raised by inspectors and trade partners to ensure cost‑effective resolutions, supporting budget adherence and Continuous Improvement Processes. Manage daily trade partner communications and invoice approvals through Build Pro, ensuring timely notifications, workflow efficiency, and accurate payment processing. Provide trade partner feedback to the Lead Construction Manager regarding timeliness and attention to detail. Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and adherence to state and federal building codes; maintain accurate safety logs, conduct regular safety meetings, and address regulatory concerns. Perform Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan inspections as required by county, state, and federal guidelines. Maintain accurate records and documentation, approving change orders, purchase orders, and safety logs. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer care, management) to ensure effective communication and problem resolution. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred. 3–5 years of experience in residential construction management. Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills. Tech‑savvy proficiency in Microsoft Office, Build Pro, Procore, and other construction management software. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and valid auto insurance coverage. Knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and the ability to read blueprints. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Physical capability for regular in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices; ability to work more than eight hours per day in a confined construction trailer, operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry equipment up to 50 lbs; occasional operation of construction equipment; finger dexterity for computer use. Compensation & Benefits Base salary ranges from $61,058 to $108,239 annually, with potential bonuses and commissions.
