Purpose Of Position

Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

More specifically, the person will:

• Running wiring looms and conduit.
• Connect wire harnesses to assembled units.
• Assemble components, some very small.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports.

Education – Experience – Computer Skills

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Electrical wiring knowledge through experience or vocational training.
• 2 to 4 years' experience preferred.
• Have basic electrical knowledge including ID EL components, safe wiring practices, troubleshooting.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and blue prints.
• Use of power tools such as: drill, jig saw, knockout punch.
• Use of hand tools and tape measure.
• Ability to carry out direction in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.
• Must be able to regularly use hands and arms/reach overhead.
• Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to work up to 15 feet off the ground, to work inside of bins on units, to climb ladders on occasion.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
