Water Treatment System Operator

Water Treatment System Operator Location: Santa Clarita, CA. Full‑time, 60 hours per week on average. Compensation: $25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Coordinate operation, maintenance and repair of water treatment equipment and associated well field and support equipment. Ensure codes, standards and water treatment objectives are met while being environmentally conscious. Operate and control motors, pumps and valves for vapor and water treatment systems. Collect water samples and coordinate laboratory analysis. Perform periodic maintenance and manage subcontractors for specialized equipment service. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical process equipment for initial diagnoses. Maintain safety culture and approach all work with a safety‑first attitude. Communicate effectively with project team members. Plan and schedule work to meet required timelines. Maintain daily operations logs, inventory, site consumables and vendor service contracts. Provide occasional off‑hour remote monitoring and call‑ins for troubleshooting, including weekends. Work a day/night shift rotation as needed. Qualifications Working knowledge of low‑pressure steam boilers, water treatment equipment and control systems. Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking and mechanical/electrical systems skills. Strong time‑management skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites. Preferred Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in a similar role. OSHA 40‑Hour Hazwoper certification. We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
