Validation Engineer II

Overview Join LG Electronics’ Vehicle Solutions (VS) Company, a global leader in developing environmentally responsible automotive components. This role focuses on validating infotainment and telematics products to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform validation for infotainment/telematics products using test benches and vehicles. Execute basic sanity tests, address customer-found issues, update specifications, and run comprehensive test cases. Lead validation execution within assigned projects, contributing to delivery, quality, and cross‑functional coordination. Guide validation engineers from a project execution perspective. Own customer projects, ensuring successful delivery and hands‑on ownership. Coordinate customer communication and liaison with Korea HQ. Drive improvements in validation capability, process, and execution quality. Analyze test results to determine if products meet specifications. Create and maintain test cases per product specifications. Utilize tracking systems to report and track product defects. Set up test benches and perform software updates. Conduct field tests and joint field tests with OEMs. Support OEMs by visiting sites, repairing damaged OEM hardware units, and driving SW status updates. Assist with audit event support, including communication and issue reproduction. Maintain relationships with overseas counterparts to share information and resolve issues. Support technical issue resolution. Arrange test vehicle usage with customers for internal validation activities. Communicate with R&D and DQA teams across regions such as North America and Korea. Participate in onsite/offsite customer meetings as needed. Coach and mentor new validation technicians and engineering team members. Manage OEM customer relationships and develop third‑party relationships. Report validation status to local and overseas counterparts. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean. Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in automotive validation; experience with infotainment/telematics preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Ability to travel internationally, domestically, and locally up to 30% annually. Capacity to perform vehicle testing up to 8 hours per day. Physical ability to lift/carry handheld items up to 20 lbs. and to lift/setup benches up to 30 lbs. Salary Range

$70,725 - $94,300 USD
