Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation, electrical systems, and control equipment associated with our industrial water treatment solutions. This role will operate primarily across industrial facilities along the US Gulf Coast as well as at our equipment manufacturing facilities in Conroe, TX and Gonzales, LA. Position I&E Technician - Instrumentation & Electrical Department Operations / Field Services Employment Type Full-time Locations Conroe, TX | Gonzales, LA | Gulf Coast Industrial Sites Travel Required Yes - US Gulf Coast Opening Status Immediate Opening Key Responsibilities Instrumentation & Electrical Work Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation including transmitters, flow meters, pressure/temperature sensors, analyzers, and control valves Perform electrical installation and maintenance including conduit runs, panel wiring, motor connections, and field junction boxes Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and instrument data sheets Conduct loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation failures on water treatment and industrial process equipment PLC & Control Systems Work with Allen Bradley PLCs (primary platform) for troubleshooting, program review, and minor modifications to ladder logic Build and modify HMI screens to support equipment operation and monitoring (preferred) Interface with SCADA and DCS systems as required at customer facilities Document control system changes and maintain as‑built records Field Service Duties Respond to service calls at industrial facilities throughout the US Gulf Coast Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on Sepratech equipment in the field and at manufacturing facilities Coordinate with facility instrument and electrical departments to comply with site‑specific work practices Maintain accurate field service reports, work orders, and equipment logs Support commissioning and startup activities for new equipment installations Customer Relations & Safety Represent Sepratech professionally with client plant operators and facility management Follow all safety protocols required for work in industrial environments Comply with site‑specific confined space entry, hot work, and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures Adhere to DISA drug testing requirements and consortium policies for access to industrial facilities Maintain current TWIC card for access to port and refinery facilities Administrative Tasks Complete detailed service reports and electronic work orders Submit timely expense reports and time documentation Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development Coordinate with operations team for efficient scheduling and job planning Required Qualifications Essential Requirements High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Valid Driver's License (Required) TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) - or ability to obtain Ability to pass DISA drug screening and background checks required for access to industrial facilities OSHA Safety Card Minimum 3 years of hands‑on I&E experience in an industrial or field service environment Demonstrated experience with instrumentation installation, calibration, and troubleshooting Technical Requirements Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, loop drawings, and P&IDs Experience with industrial instrumentation (transmitters, analyzers, control valves, flowmeters) Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) Working knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and industrial electrical practices Ability to use standard I&E hand tools, multi-meters, HART communicators, and calibration equipment Work Requirements Must be willing to work weekends and/or holidays as needed Must be willing to travel throughout the US Gulf Coast region Physical capability to lift, climb, and work in confined spaces and at elevation Ability to work in varied industrial environments and weather conditions Preferred Qualifications Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming (ladder logic, function block, structured text) Experience building and modifying HMI screens (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, or similar platforms) ISA Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST) or equivalent certification Experience in water treatment, chemical processing, or oil & gas facilities Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, Modbus) Associate's degree or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Technology Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor control centers (MCCs) Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS
