Accounts Receivable Specialist (Contract)

Location: Baltimore, MD

Schedule: Fully onsite, five days per week

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $28 - $30 / hour

Benefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounts receivable experience
• Experience with invoicing, cash applications, and account reconciliation
• Strong collections and customer follow-up skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Ability to work onsite in Baltimore five days per week
• Available to begin a contract assignment promptly

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices
• Apply cash receipts, ACH payments, checks, and credit card payments
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate account balances
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding outstanding invoices
• Assist with month-end close and accounts receivable reporting
• Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to resolve billing concerns
