Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary contract position. As a Tele RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients while floating to various units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Provide patient care in the medical-surgical and telemetry units.
Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, including EKG interpretation.
Handle boarded patients in the Emergency Department (ED) while ensuring safety and comfort.
Assist in the care of other medical-surgical units if ED coverage is not required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Work Schedule

The position requires a commitment to a schedule of 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every-other-weekend availability and holiday coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for 4+ years in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
BLS certification and the ability to pass an EKG test.
Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably Epic.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Contract Details

This is an 8-week contract position, with 32 hours of orientation required, including 16 non-billable hours.
