The BDS Space Launch System Finance team is looking for a dynamic and driven Financial Analyst to contribute to this historic endeavor. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing essential financial and cost management analysis for the world's largest and most powerful rocket.The selected candidate will be responsible for:Financial Analysis:Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support the Space Launch System program, ensuring accurate and timely reportingCollaborate with program teams to develop and maintain financial forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficienciesCost Management:Monitor program expenses, identifying trends and potential risksProvide recommendations for cost optimization and contribute to cost-benefit analysisReporting and Briefings:Prepare comprehensive financial reports for various stakeholders, including Finance and Program LeadershipDevelop and present financial information for briefings, ensuring clarity and transparencyCross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with teams within the SLS Program and Boeing Defense and Space Finance organization to ensure financial alignment and accuracyCollaborate on strategic initiatives and financial planning activitiesData Gathering and Analysis:Gather and analyze business information and requirements related to Earned Value Management (EVM) program executionCoordinate change activities and support monitoring, ensuring accuracy and relevance of dataReporting and Forecasting:Develop and update information and reports for project management and business stakeholdersAssist in preparing routine performance reports and contribute to variance analysesBaseline Development:Support the development and maintenance of cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned valueAssist in developing business cases using appropriate indicesQuality Control:Perform quality control actions to ensure the integrity of business informationSupport baseline activities and administer relevant processesPosition Responsibilities:Maintains financial controls related to financial system activitiesSupports baseline and estimate at completion system incorporation activitiesReviews and validates change documents (CDs) as part of baseline executionResponsible for financial system month end processing activities and financial system data integrityReviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trendsPrepares monthly financial reporting deliverables, both internal and externalInitiates variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to managementProvides daily and weekly cost reporting utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM)Participates in and supports affordability initiatives and exercisesThis position is hybrid.
