Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with orthopedic/joint experience for a hospital OR position in the Denver, CO area requiring NBSTSA and DORA certifications.

Job Details

• Hospital OR setting with 14 operating rooms and a staff of approximately 70 FTEs,
• Patient ratio is 1:1 in the OR,
• Day shift staffing includes a charge nurse, one RN and one ST per OR, PCTs, ATs, and a trauma team,
• Typical procedures include orthopedic/spine, neuro, and transplant surgeries,
• Charting is performed using Meditech (prior experience preferred),
• Schedule is 5 days per week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility for day/evening hours as needed,
• On-call requirements include 1-2 call shifts per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of current acute care hospital experience as a CST,
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the specialty area,
• Orthopedic/joint experience is required,
• NBSTSA certification required,
• DORA (Colorado) certification/licensure required - license required if applicable,
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start),
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration - no exceptions,
• One professional reference required,

Additional Information

• Level I trauma experience is preferred,
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred,
• Ideal candidates are team players who demonstrate accountability, expertise, and self-direction,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates will not be considered
