Field Service Technician

An employer is looking for a Field Service Technician to work onsite in Costa Rica. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for responding to service calls within timelines set by the Service Coordinator while delivering punctual, high-quality technical support to both internal and external customers. Ensures proper preparation for each assignment by verifying the service type and organizing required tools and equipment. Maintains strong customer service standards while completing clear, detailed service reports and submitting documentation to customers daily, copying relevant internal stakeholders. Communicates regularly with the Service Coordinator, including providing updates at the completion of each assignment, and follows up on any outstanding tasks until full resolution with the customer is achieved. Maintains tools and equipment in optimal condition and consistently adheres to company policies, code of conduct, and safety protocols. The reason for the opening is to grow the company's medical end-market in Costa Rica having an onsite-technical presence.

Specific tasks include arriving on time to assigned services and immediately notifying any delays, maintaining clear and effective communication with customers regarding service progress, performing and confirming accurate service diagnosis before informing the customer, completing all Service Authorization fields and documenting part numbers when damaged parts are identified, using Field Service Lightning notifications for open service items and informing the Coordinator, requesting support immediately when necessary, documenting all details when transferring a service to another technician, promoting service hours and MAP, recommending spare parts replacement to extend equipment life, returning shared tools in good condition and reporting any damage, and providing relevant commercial information to sales teams in each territory.
