ASSISTANT/DEPUTY COÖS COUNTY ATTORNEY

Pay Range Pay Range - $70,000 - $80,000 per year depending on experience Responsibilities The Assistant County Attorney is primarily responsible for representing the State in the prosecution of felony crimes in Coös Superior Court. The position may also involve administering a federal grant, discussing legal aspects of cases with staff and police, and counseling law enforcement on legal matters. Trial or jury trial experience is preferred, and experience prosecuting criminal cases and working with victims of crime is a plus. Other responsibilities may include being available to take calls and to provide advice and guidance to local law enforcement during non-office hours. The Deputy County Attorney may include all the functions of the Assistant County Attorney position, with added responsibilities as assigned by and under the direction of the County Attorney. Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor degree and be a member in good standing of the New Hampshire Bar Association, or able to waive into the NHBA. Minimum Qualifications for Deputy Position Juris Doctor degree and be a member in good standing of the New Hampshire Bar Association, or able to waive into the NHBA, jury trial experience, and experience as a prosecuting attorney.
