We Never Walk Alone ADVERTISING/WORKING TITLE: GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS CONSULTANT I This open competitive advertisement is for a full time OPS position located at the Central Office in the Office of Information Technology. The purpose of the Government Operations Consultant I is to streamline and digitize agency processes by designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows and forms on the SimpliGov platform, ensuring compliance with regulations, providing technical support, and collaborating with teams to meet organizational needs. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves. Job Duties Help change paper-based tasks into faster digital processes using the SimpliGov platform. Study current processes and create digital forms and workflows on SimpliGov. Build automated systems that send documents and alerts to the right people. Check that forms follow all state and agency rules and policies. Support users with technical help, track workflow progress, and make reports using the platform. Key Skills Strong communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot issues and find effective solutions within the SimpliGov platform. Should be able to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for digital improvement. Benefits OPS employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week are eligible to enroll in state group insurance plans. Dental - FDC offers five separate dental plans with multiple options and rates for each plan type with monthly premiums as low as $12.64. Vision - FDC offers one single vision plan through Humana with monthly premiums as low as $5.92. Life - FDC offers a $25,000 group term life insurance plan to eligible OPS staff through Securian at the low monthly premium of $3.78. When enrolled in basic life, employees may also elect child life and spouse life insurance plans. Retirement - As an OPS employee, the Florida FICA Alternative Plan with Corebridge Financial affords you an excellent opportunity to help accumulate money for a secure retirement. You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. All OPS employees are required to participate in this plan and are automatically enrolled. Must possess a High school diploma or its equivalent Preferred Requirements Preference will be given to those seeking, or currently holding a minimum of an associate’s degree in a computer field Preference will be given to those with experience in workflow automation and form-building platforms. Additional Information Background Screening Requirement The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.
