Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver therapeutic interventions that help patients rebuild strength and mobility
- Document every patient's progress and response to treatment with detail
- Empower patients with education and home exercise programs for lasting results
- Collaborate with the supervising PT to ensure seamless care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant environment for all
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Connecticut PTA license or ability to obtain one before starting
- Strong communication skills for patient and team interactions
- Ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively
- Passion for making a real difference in people's lives
Education
- Associate's degree or graduation certificate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation principles
- Mobility assistance and therapeutic exercise
- Infection control and safety compliance
- Interdisciplinary teamwork
- Patient care, education, and documentation
- Treatment plan implementation
