Duties Conduct comprehensive testing on electronic assemblies using automated test equipment and manual methods to verify functionality and performance. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ohmmeters to perform detailed measurements and data collection. Inspect PCB assemblies for surface mount technology (SMT) components, solder joints, and mechanical integrity following IPC 610 standards for electronic hardware quality. Use automated optical inspection (AOI) systems and visual inspection techniques to identify defects or deviations from specifications. Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and test procedures to troubleshoot issues, perform debugging, and ensure compliance with quality control protocols. Record test results accurately, analyze data trends, and prepare detailed reports for quality assurance documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies or recurring defects and collaborating with engineering teams for resolution. Qualifications Strong knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) assembly processes and quality control standards such as IPC 610. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, schematics, and handheld tools like soldering irons and hand tools. Experience with PCB testing procedures, automated test automation systems, and automated optical inspection (AOI). Mechanical knowledge related to electronic component assembly, soldering techniques, and the use of mechanical inspection tools. Ability to perform detailed analysis of test data, troubleshoot issues through debugging techniques, and interpret schematics effectively. Familiarity with quality assurance practices including quality inspection protocols and adherence to manufacturing standards. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills necessary for data collection, defect identification, and process optimization.
