Registered Nurse

Overview RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare delivery system in New Jersey, is seeking a compassionate and patient-centered Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As an RN, you will provide safe, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive nursing care to diverse patient populations across our network, collaborating closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and support staff. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive assessments and develop and implement individualized plans of care. Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and use clinical judgment to escalate changes in condition. Coordinate multidisciplinary care and educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge plans. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention, and adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. Support an environment of safety, respect, and inclusion; participate in shared governance, unit-based councils, and evidence-based practice projects. Pursue continuing education, clinical competencies, and professional development pathways, including opportunities for specialty certifications and career advancement. Work in a fast-paced acute care or ambulatory setting, coordinating with a medical team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. This is a full-time position and may require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 patient care within a field/on-site hospital or clinical environment in New Jersey. Qualifications Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency with electronic medical records. Effective communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
