Job Description:

Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia including preparation of equipment, placement of monitors, and ensuring cleanliness and availability of supplies. Operate the cell-saver machine, provide support for advanced surgical cases, and assist in training staff. Set up and troubleshoot equipment, and provide on-call coverage as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia and communicate with anesthesiologists and technologists.
• Operate cell-saver machine and participate in advanced surgical cases.
• Ensure anesthesia equipment is in good working order and perform preventive maintenance.
• Assist in the development of in-service training programs.
• Set up and troubleshoot equipment such as infusion pumps and defibrillators.
• Set up rooms and carts, and provide support for out-of-OR procedures.
• Provide backup to shift supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• BLS
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech
