Controller, Senior

A leading Private Equity firm seeking a Corporate Accountant to fill a senior level position. The ideal candidate will hold an advanced Accounting degree, preferably a CPA. This position is involved with various aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, business planning and accounting and financial analysis. Job Responsibilities: Researching and interpreting FASB standards and SEC guidance, and ensuring that the transaction is properly recorded in the general ledger. Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc analyses requested by Management. Effectively work and communicate with team to ensure established deadlines are being met in an efficient manner. Present information, ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely. Responsible for reviewing the day-to-day accounting for the Company’s Debt and Preferred Equity Investment portfolio to ensure that it is accurate and complete. Assist in the preparation of publicly filed documents (10Ks/10Qs and the supplemental package). Preparing financial statements, preparing footnote disclosures and preparing sections of MD&A. Job Requirements: 5-8 years of experience in Accounting Strong attention to detail and precise methodology of reporting. Demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to execute.
