Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager South Coast Improvement Company is a dynamic, success‑driven commercial construction management firm. We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Marion, MA, and help coordinate a portfolio of projects to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met. Location: Marion, MA 02738 Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 per year Job Type: Full‑time Schedule: Monday to Friday Responsibilities Execute and manage project administration from pre‑construction handoff to project closeout. Use Procore daily. Understand the project scope, reviewing drawings and specifications. Ensure proper administration of subcontractor contracts, scopes, and insurance requirements. Process project submittal logs and obtain designer approval. Coordinate site setup with the Site Superintendent and PM: order and assemble signs, dumpsters, safety fencing, and storage. Attend and prepare for weekly project meetings; keep detailed minutes and assist with agendas. Draft, submit, and track RFIs and distribute to all team members as needed. Review project logs (RFIs, submittals, PCOs) with the Superintendent weekly. Collect and distribute coordination drawings from subcontractors; review drawings with the project team and set up coordination meetings. Gather subcontractor change orders for review by the PM. Review and code invoices. Prepare and submit monthly payment applications in AIA format. Facilitate and monitor punch list activities. Maintain client relationships, reinforcing SCIC’s commitment to addressing their needs and interests. Foster positive subcontractor relationships. Balance client and SCIC needs effectively. Communicate clearly both internally and externally. Work with the Site Superintendent on a one‑to‑one basis. Qualifications AIA billing experience. Procore proficiency. Adobe Acrobat skills. MS Excel and spreadsheet proficiency. MS Project / scheduling experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation Salary commensurate with experience: $65,000 – $85,000 per year.
