Job Description & Requirements- Specialty: Physical Therapist

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the acute hospital setting
- Work with patients recovering from surgery, stroke, cardiac events, trauma, neurological conditions, and general medical illnesses
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on safe mobility and discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case management, OT, and SLP teams
- Provide patient and family education regarding mobility, safety, and discharge recommendations
- Maintain accurate EMR documentation and productivity standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Virginia PT license or ability to obtain one
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care experience required
- Strong clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary communication skills
- Experience with medically complex and post-surgical patients preferred
