Loan Review Analyst

Loan Review AnalystThe Loan Review Analyst supports the primary function of loan review to verify the validity of the loan management system, including but not limited to, confirming assigned risk grades, reviewing watch list data, loan documentation, assessing credit risk, and other loan procedures in accordance with policy.Essential FunctionsConduct loan review and financial analysis as assigned (independently or in conjunction with the ). Loan reviews include: review of loan documentation and systems accuracy, financial analysis, stress testing, risk grade evaluations and communicating results to loan officers and bank management.Pre-review processing: Gather database information from various systems.Communicate with loan officers, credit, and/or credit analysts to gather essential information and ensure files are current.Perform a detail review of all watch list loans to ensure policy compliance (i.e. TLM's, impairment status, and reporting).Responsible for preparing and analyzing reports/tables for quarterly Loan Review reports, to include exhibits and schedules.Responsible for tracking all loan review findings, documenting resolutions, and communicating the status of the open findings with lenders. Ensure exceptions tracking log is accurate and current.Assist in preparation of examiner and external audit request packets (i.e. pull loan files, pull reviewed loans list, etc.).Keep track of risk grade changes, and ensure the system reflects the grade changes prior to quarter-end.Other duties as assigned.Required Education, Experience, SkillsBachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, or business administrationMinimum one to two years of banking, financial statement analysis experience or combination of relevant education and experienceComputer skills to include, but not limited to, intermediate level understanding of Excel, Word, and OutlookKnowledge of Silverlake and nCino applications preferred.Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive bank matters.Ability to work with other bank departments' personnel in a professional and objective manner.Strong writing and documentation skills to effectively communicate at all levels, both verbally and writtenEffective analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail oriented quality of upmost importance.Equipment UsedStandard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiersSupervisory ResponsibilityN/AWorking Conditions/Physical RequirementsPrimarily office settingWestStar is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of any protected trait, including gender, race, ethnicity, disability, or veteran status.
