**Experience and Skills Requirements:** - Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-risk Level III NICU. - Previous travel experience required. - Previous charge experience preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience. - Experience with patient ratios is required, specifically experience with a 3:1 patient ratio. - Charting system experience required, with proficiency in Cerner preferred. - Travel experience required. **Certification Requirements:** - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required. - STABLE certification required. - BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred. **Skills Required:** - Administration of blood & blood products, seizure medications, antibiotics/antivirals. - APGAR scoring, arterial line management, assist with lumbar puncture. - Attend and manage high risk deliveries, blood glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support. - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Ventilation, Hyperbilirubinemia management. - Insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, chest tube management. - Managing conditions such as Meconium Aspiration, Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC), Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, and Neonatal Sepsis. - Skills related to neonates (29 to 34 weeks), NICU III care, Nitric Oxide (INo), and oxygen delivery systems. - Patient/family teaching and support. - Phlebotomy, phototherapy, placement/management of feeding tubes. - Management of respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis work-up, starting and maintaining IVs, steroids. - Suctioning (ETT, NT), surfactants, telemetry (unit monitoring), therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket). - Thermoregulation, umbilical artery and vein catheter management (UAC/UVC), ventilator management. **Other Details:** - The job requires floating to pediatric and nursery units if needed. - Orientation consists of 36 hours. - Experience working with neonates in a clinical setting required. - Must be able to work with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services, interpretation services, and social services.
