Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) We are currently recruiting for the Multi-Purpose Clerk - Grocery (Night Crew) at 1740 Tuolomne, Vallejo, CA 94589. Job Summary The Multi-Purpose Clerk - Night Crew is responsible for a variety of clerk positions and is cross‑trained and internally certified on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities include stocking grocery store shelves, pricing new items, offloading shipments, unwrapping, rotating and packing boxes during overnight shifts. Additional duties involve order writing, freshness/quality code checking, item‑to‑tag integrity, reporting risks or safety issues to management, maintaining proper temperatures in cases/coolers, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating the check stand, and ensuring a clean, safe work area. Responsibilities Receive, stock, display, price, and face products Break down loads, unwrapping, rotating, and packing boxes Order writing and maintain item‑to‑tag integrity Report all risks or safety issues to management Ensure proper temperature in cases and coolers Maintain inventory accuracy Minimal check of cash register Sweep and mop sales floor, front end, back rooms, and refrigerated areas Know location of MSDS binder and information about all materials used during work Operate forklift if authorized and certified Operate commercial baler if authorized to compress cardboard Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Excellent customer service and communication skills—verbal and written Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English Strong team player willing to learn, work hard, and enjoy work environment Experience Minimum: Three months or equivalent experience. Education Required: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience/training.
