Paramedic - Paramedic


Job Details:


• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Work with neonate to geriatric patients, including all patient types and level III trauma cases
• Day shift patient ratio of 1:3-4 and night shift patient ratio of 1:5
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• When not on a call, paramedics will work in the emergency department
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Wisconsin Paramedic License
• Wisconsin and/or Michigan paramedic license required
• General emergency department skills required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment used: Alaris IV Pump and Pyxis
• Any color scrubs permitted
• CNA support ratio of 1:17 available on unit
• Charge nurse takes patient assignment on night shift
• Additional support includes Resource Nurse, Respiratory Therapy 24/7, Hospitalist 24/7, and bedside and nurse station telemetry monitoring

This facility is a 99-bed Level III Trauma Center with a dedicated 17-bed emergency department equipped to handle a wide range of patient needs from neonates to geriatrics. The facility operates its own ambulance service and provides comprehensive around-the-clock support including hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and advanced monitoring systems. The close-knit team environment fosters collaboration and high-quality patient care in a rural hospital setting.
