This role is responsible for driving preventative maintenance programs, owning maintenance budget and KPI performance, managing capital and improvement projects, and partnering closely with Engineering to support new equipment installations and process improvements.The Maintenance Manager will oversee all mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation (E&I) activities, with direct leadership of Maintenance Supervisors and E&I technicians. This individual must bring strong project management experience, working knowledge of controls and PLC troubleshooting, and a leadership style that combines strategic accountability with daily floor presence. Schedule: This is a day-shift role with on-call availability expected for nights and weekends as operational needs require.Essential Job Functions:Lead, develop, and hold accountable the site maintenance team, including supervisors and a team of technicians and E&I personnelOwn overall equipment reliability and uptime across all production systems (extrusion, lamination, converting, and support equipment)Drive execution and continuous improvement of the Preventative Maintenance program using Asset EssentialsManage and optimize spare parts inventory, including min/max levels, critical component availability, and cost controlPartner with Engineering on capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvementsLead project management efforts including planning, execution, timelines, and cross-functional coordinationSpend significant time on the floor daily, directly supporting troubleshooting, team development, and operational responseEnsure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company standards (LOTO, electrical safety, etc.)Establish and maintain maintenance KPIs including PM completion rate, OEE, MTTR, MTBF, and downtime; drive accountability to targetsOversee troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems including motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentationSupport root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring failuresDevelop and maintain SOPs for maintenance processes, equipment, and systemsEnsure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, machine logs, and equipment historyCoordinate contractor support and manage external vendors as neededOwn the site maintenance budget, including labor, parts, contractors, and capital spend; report regularly on budget performanceMaintain strong cross-functional relationships with Operations, Quality, and EngineeringKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong leadership capability with experience managing maintenance teams in a manufacturing environmentWorking knowledge of PLC ladder logic and ability to support basic controls troubleshootingSolid understanding of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, drives, and instrumentationStrong mechanical aptitude including pumps, gearboxes, alignment, and rotating equipmentExperience with CMMS systems, preferably Asset Essentials or similar platformsStrong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and timelinesKnowledge of OSHA standards including LOTO, confined space, and electrical safetyAbility to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause and long-term solutionsAbility to work collaboratively across departments while holding teams accountableExperience:5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with extrusion, lamination, or similar continuous process manufacturing preferredProven experience managing capital or improvement projectsExperience leading preventative maintenance programs and spare parts systemsHands-on experience with industrial controls and PLC systemsEducation and Certifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical or Vocational training preferredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferredRelevant certifications a plus: CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional), electrical license, or equivalentPhysical Requirements:Ability to be on feet for extended periods (10–12 hours as needed)Ability to lift up to 40 pounds unassistedAbility to reach, bend, kneel, and climb while performing tasksAbility to work in hot and cold environmentsAbility to wear required PPE for entire shiftsAbility to respond quickly to operational and safety conditionsImportant notice:At this time, our company will not be engaging with external agencies or third-party vendors for recruitment services.
