The Department of Management in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Strategic Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an expected start date of August 2027. We seek colleagues who can contribute to the College's research mission and degree programs at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels, and other areas as appropriate. We seek individuals who are interested in being active members of a rich and collegial academic community. Given UNL's status as a Big Ten institution, salary, benefits, and research support are competitive.

About the Department

The Department of Management () currently includes 25 total faculty members, including 14 tenured/tenure-track faculty, and provides a collegial environment for research and teaching. Our faculty members regularly publish in top-tier management journals and are awarded for their research and teaching accomplishments. Indeed, according to the TAMUGA rankings of Management Department productivity, the department is ranked 29th on a per faculty basis for the 2021-2025 time period. We enjoy sharing our research in progress within the department to solicit ideas and feedback and regularly invite visiting faculty to do the same. The Center for Entrepreneurship, International Business program, and the Clifton Strengths Institute are affiliated with the Department of Management and administered by Management faculty.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Strategic Management or a closely related field. Advanced ABD candidates will be considered; the degree must be conferred at the time of the appointment start date.
• Applicants must demonstrate a research program relevant to Strategic Management and a history of targeting top-tier management-related journals.
• Candidates for this position must also have teaching experience and an interest in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Strategic Management at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• Ability and interest to teach Entrepreneurship courses. Candidates who can contribute to teaching across both areas are especially encouraged
• Demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier management journals.
