SCADA Systems Administrator

SCADA Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
- Maintaining currency with latest trends in automation designs and equipment for the Gas industry
- Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System including:
- AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
- HMI display development
- Realtime Database implementation
- Historical Database data interfaces and reports
- Gas Measurement Metering
- Troubleshoot SCADA software and server issues
- Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs.
- Work with Gas Control operators to make sure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to safely operate the pipeline.
- Program wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
- Build, configure, and maintain reports
- Document changes, obtain required approvals, and submit changes
- Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocol (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP)
- Ability to write simple scripts and SQL queries
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement in a small team environment
- AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform
- Fluent in all aspects of SCADA System Operation including: AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) baseline platform, HMI display development, Realtime Database implementation, Historical Database data interfaces and reporting, Gas Measurement Metering
- In-depth Knowledge of RTU/PLC protocol (Modbus, DNP3, BSAP);
- Participate in the complete SCADA system upgrade project including implementation, testing, and go-live and post implementation support
- Work closely with Field Technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot data polling from the SCADA System to field RTUs
- Ability to write scripts and SQL queries
- Clear communications to enable close coordination with Gas Control operators to ensure the SCADA system is always providing them the ability to safely operate the pipeline.
- Control room experience
- Experience with building, configuring, developing and maintaining reports
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity Principles
- Knowledge of IT and OT principles and Technology
- Knowledge of related utility industry field operations
- Process documentation development skills capture workflows, changes, change approvals, change submission
- Programming of wireless modems (Sierra Wireless and Digi)
