Working Title: RN Per Diem Pool / Interventional Radiology Prep & Recovery Department: H3185: Interventional Radiology Location: Lexington, KY Grade Level: 10 Salary Range: $23.25 – $39.10 per hour Position Type: Staff, On Call Required Education: ADN Required Related Experience: No experience required. Required License/Registration/Certification: Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license, Temporary Work Permit (TWP), Provisional License or active compact state RN license in good standing, and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification valid for at least 6 months after employment date Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds daily and 25-50 pounds frequently; stand, walk and sit for long periods; may be exposed to communicable diseases, radiation hazards, and injury from patients or sharp instruments. Shift Compensation Level II – 144 hours on any shift per 6‑week schedule: $60 per hour Level III – 216 hours on any shift per 6‑week schedule: $70 per hour Job Summary RNs in this area are responsible for preparing for and recovering patients undergoing diagnostic and/or therapeutic neuro and vascular procedures such as thrombectomy, thrombolysis, coiling, stenting, angiogram, and embolization. Responsibilities include assessment, documentation, planning, implementation, teaching, and evaluation of a comprehensive nursing care plan; providing direct patient care; ensuring patient satisfaction; training and delegating duties for Nursing Care Technicians (Nursing Assistants); and adhering to university policies, federal, state, and local regulations. The environment supports collaborative efforts among nursing staff and physicians to enhance communication and patient outcomes, utilizing the nursing process and a patient‑centered plan of care. Preferred Qualifications BSN and at least one year of ICU RN experience (highly preferred).
