Leading New York City Animal Hospital has several opening for Licensed Veterinary Technicians on the following units::
- Internal Medicine & Dialysis LVT
- Licensed Veterinary Technician, Cardiology
- Licensed Veterinary Technician, Emergency & Critical Care
- Licensed Veterinary Technician, Integrative & Rehabilitative Medicine
- Licensed Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine & Dialysis LVT
- Licensed Veterinary Technician, Interventional Radiology
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Avian & Exotic Pet Medicine
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Diagnostic Imaging
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) - Surgery
- LVT Director of OR
- LVT Manager of Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)
Responsibilities
- Interpret and execute treatment plans
- Operate and/or monitor Heska and syringe pumps, Cardell blood pressure monitors, Doppler monitors and blood gas machines
- Place jelco and sampling catheters and collect blood samples
- Update patient records and monitor patient activity
- Maintain stock and order supplies
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of the unit
- Participate in the training of new employees and volunteers
Qualifications:
- Ne w York State Licensed Veterinary Technician’s or permit
- One year animal handling experience and ability to lift and restrain animals weighing up to 50 pounds
Salary: $62,000 - $83,000
