Avila Golf & Country Club is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This is an important behind-the-scenes role that helps keep our kitchen running smoothly by ensuring dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and work areas remain clean, sanitized, and ready for service.

What You'll Do

• Collect used dishes, plates, glasses, utensils, and cookware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload commercial dishwashing machines.
• Hand-wash items such as large pots and pans, wooden cutting boards, delicate china, and other specialty items.
• Inspect dishes and glassware to ensure they are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Store clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment appropriately.
• Keep an adequate supply of clean dishes and utensils available during busy service periods.
• Set up and maintain the dishwashing and kitchen work areas.
• Keep the kitchen, dish area, floors, and surrounding workspaces clean and sanitized.
• Remove garbage regularly and maintain overall cleanliness.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Report any dish machine or equipment issues promptly.
• Stay productive during slower periods by cleaning and assisting with other kitchen tasks.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist the kitchen team with other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Dishwasher, Wait Staff, or in a restaurant/hospitality environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience using commercial or industrial dishwashing equipment is helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Dependable, hardworking, and willing to stay busy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Schedule Requirements

Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. Overtime may occasionally be required during busy periods, special events, or peak service times.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and remain active for 68 hours per shift.
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while washing dishes and scrubbing cookware.
• Safely handle fragile items such as glassware and china.
• Move continuously between the dishwashing area and kitchen.
• Work around heat, steam, water, and a noisy kitchen environment.
• Hear and follow instructions in a busy kitchen.

Additional Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to complete and pass a drug screening.
