Role Overview: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing New Generation Services (NGS) projects from early conceptual stages through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and contract closeout. This role provides leadership to high-performing project teams and maintains full accountability for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and customer satisfaction in alignment with contract requirements and Mitsubishi Power performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a single large-scale project exceeding $200M or a portfolio of NGS projects, including leadership of project teams.
• Communicate project health, risks, and status to stakeholders, customers, sponsors, and senior leadership.
• Capture and document lessons learned and provide summary briefings as required.
• Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities through detailed contract analysis and develop mitigation strategies.
• Develop the project baseline income statement using approved estimates, pricing, and Division of Responsibility (DOR) splits.
• Provide regular cost reporting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Oversee development and execution of integrated project schedules including critical path activities.
• Ensure appropriate resource allocation and execution against baseline plans.
• Support development of recovery plans when project deviations occur.
• Lead scope expansion initiatives and develop change order technical, pricing, and execution strategies.
• Direct all phases of assigned projects using established project management methodologies, tools, and quality standards.
• Manage formal change control across scope, cost, schedule, performance, and configuration.
• Provide timely performance feedback and support conflict resolution within project teams.
• Support continuous improvement of project management practices and adoption of new processes.
• Contribute to proposal development and bid support activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Projects.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; minimum 11 years of experience managing large power generation projects. Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $200M in value. PMP certification preferred but not required. Strong ability to analyze technical, contractual, and financial information. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Strong mathematical and analytical skills including cost, risk, and performance evaluation. Advanced reasoning and problem-solving capabilities in complex project environments. Proficiency with project management, scheduling, spreadsheet, word processing, and technical documentation software.
