Sunbelt Staffing is hiring a compassionate and experienced Travel Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Tuscaloosa, AL for the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with multiple and/or significant disabilities
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
• Supervise and support instructional assistants in carrying out student programs and accommodations
• Collaborate with families, staff, and other members of the educational team
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Active Alabama Special Education teaching certification for grades K–12
• Experience supporting students with disabilities
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to meeting the individual needs of every student
