Dispatcher

Location: Cudahy, WI
Pay: $20.00-$23.00/hour
Hours: 8am-6:30pm OR 4am-2:30pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join a trucking company in Cudahy. The Dispatcher will coordinate drivers, routes, schedules, and customer needs while ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can multitask, stay organized under pressure, and work effectively in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities

Dispatch drivers and coordinate daily pickup and delivery schedules
Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal team members
Monitor driver routes and delivery status
Schedule and coordinate loads based on customer requirements
Handle schedule changes, delays, and other issues as they arise
Maintain accurate dispatch, delivery, and driver records
Enter and update information in company systems
Communicate with customers regarding pickup and delivery times
Ensure drivers have the necessary information and documentation
Assist with resolving transportation and scheduling issues
Follow company safety and compliance procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous dispatch, transportation, logistics, or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working with computers and transportation software
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Detail-oriented with accurate data-entry skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Trucking industry experience is a plus
