The role involves demonstrating proper driving techniques, explaining safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Instructors also maintain accurate training records, uphold safety standards, and foster a professional learning environment that motivates students to excel. Additionally, you will stay current with industry regulations and curriculum updates to ensure training remains aligned with industry standards.QualificationsValid Class A CDL LicenseMinimum two (2) years of practical trucking related experience that demonstrates instructional competencyA safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety DepartmentDemonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of safe truck driving, including all laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operationsAbility to effectively communicate instructions, assess student performance, and provide guidanceProfessional attitude characterized by respect, motivation, maturity, safety consciousness, and professionalismKnowledge, skill, and actual performance abilities that exceed curriculum objectivesCompliance with all federal motor carrier safety regulations and ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screening
