Position Title: Civil Litigation Attorney Experience Level: 5–7 Years of Law Firm Experience Practice Areas: Civil Litigation (Commercial & Defense Litigation preferred) Location: Boise, ID Compensation: Competitive, Dependent on Experience (DOE) About the Opportunity A highly respected, established law firm with a growing regional practice is seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience managing litigation matters autonomously from initial inception through final resolution. Key Responsibilities Formulate, execute, and manage comprehensive case strategies for complex civil litigation matters. Oversee and conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Take and defend depositions of key witnesses, parties, and experts. Draft and argue substantial motions, including motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. Represent clients confidently in court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations. Lead thorough trial preparations, including drafting pre-trial motions, brief writing, and preparing witness testimony. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 5–7 years of dedicated civil litigation experience within a private law firm environment. Practice Alignment: Prior experience in commercial litigation and/or defense litigation is highly preferred. Core Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Proven ability to handle cases independently while maintaining excellent communication with partners and clients. Credentials: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active, good-standing membership in the Idaho State Bar.
