L&M Corrugated is seeking a Production Assistant to support the day-to-day needs of our production operation. Working closely with the Plant Manager, you'll help track performance, prepare production information, support purchasing and inventory needs, and keep important operational details moving.
This is a hands-on support role for someone who is comfortable working with data, communicating across teams, and spending time both at a computer and on the production floor. You'll have the opportunity to learn how the plant operates while helping make our processes more organized, accurate, and efficient.

What You'll Do
As a Production Assistant, you'll work closely with the Plant Manager and production team to support reporting, purchasing, inventory, communication, and the day-to-day details that help keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities include:

• Preparing production data and reports for Daily Huddle meetings and other operational needs
• Updating daily machine and production metrics so teams have accurate, current performance information
• Monitoring Kanban items and supply levels and helping improve replenishment processes
• Purchasing MRO and non-inventoried production items based on stock levels and operational needs
• Receiving, verifying, organizing, and stocking office, maintenance, and production supplies
• Communicating with suppliers regarding routine orders, delivery timing, availability, and discrepancies
• Supporting the Plant Manager with data gathering, special reports, projects, and operational follow-up
• Coordinating information and follow-up across Production, Maintenance, and other departments
• Maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, and tracking tools used to support production
• Identifying opportunities to improve organization, inventory flow, reporting, and administrative processes
• Managing multiple priorities while providing timely, accurate, and professional support
• Performing other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college or technical education is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate information and follow-through
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Comfort working with numbers, production data, reports, and tracking tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with production employees, leaders, office teams, and suppliers
• Proactive, dependable approach with a willingness to learn new systems, processes, and responsibilities
• Prior manufacturing, production, inventory, purchasing, materials, or administrative support experience is preferred
