Fund Controller (SBIC)

We are a provider of specialized fund administration services for Managers and General Partners of private equity funds, specifically: Buy-out, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Fund-of-Funds. For new General Partners, we provide consulting services to help accelerate the launch of their funds in addition to our full fund administration services. For established General Partners, we provide administration services and technology to whole fund families or select funds, to help scale their fund operations rapidly and efficiently. Job Description The Fund Controller at Standish works with other team members to lead the financial reporting and administration operations of our clients. In conjunction with the Engagement Manager, the Fund Controller is responsible for fund accounting, capital account maintenance, financial statement preparation, and SBA regulatory oversight for clients. Essential Functions Supervision of the audit and tax preparation process Assisting with the preparation of information and data for Capital Calls, Distributions and Allocations to investors Detailed management and tracking of portfolio company financings Cash flow management and forecasting Assisting with the Quarterly Reporting to the Limited Partners Maintenance of investor information in third party software systems Assisting with the review/preparation of SBA regulatory reports (i.e. Form 468 / Capital Certificates / Leverage Draws, etc.) Some local travel to Client sites as needed Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree (Finance/Accounting/Economics concentration preferred) 2+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent Experience preparing or reviewing fund financial statements under US GAAP Ability to multitask and perform tasks under strict deadlines Ability to work in a team and individually Professional verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Stand Out Qualifications CPA Understanding of loan-level accounting mechanics (PIK, OID, amortization schedules, first lien/second lien structures) Understanding of NAV calculations, management fee computations, and waterfall mechanics outlined in legal documents Private Equity/Venture Capital experience Knowledge of Partnership Accounting Familiarity with QuickBooks Benefits Include Comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, along with life insurance, Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account options Comprehensive disability/maternity and paternity plans 401K Flexible Vacation Plan Sick Time Accrual Plan Standard holidays along with year-end office closure A flexible work environment for all employees Compensation range: $85,000-105,000 annually.
