1. Clinical requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Mandatory neuro nursing experience.
• Experience administering Cardene (nicardipine) and Cleviprex (clevidipine) .
• Ability to interpret EKG rhythms.
• Required certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS

2. Education and accreditation

• Degree accreditation must be listed on the candidate's profile.
• Alternative: 5 years of experience required if the degree accreditation requirement is not documented, according to the requisition.

3. Scheduling and floating

• Travelers must float between both sides of the Neuro Floor:
  • Stepdown
  • PCU
• Patient ratios may range from 1:4 to 1:5.
• Floating is mandatory.
• Travelers are first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses.
• Candidates are expected to function like core staff and integrate into the unit culture.
