This role provides technical leadership across the systems engineering lifecycle to ensure solutions meet operational, technical, and security requirements in classified and unclassified environments.The Systems Engineer serves as a key technical interface with government stakeholders, program leadership, and technical teams, ensuring the technical integrity of deliverables and successful integration of new capabilities into ongoing operations.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Systems Engineer will:Analyze user requirements, CONOPS documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specificationsAnalyze system requirements and lead system design and development activitiesGuide users in requirements formulation, recommend alternative technical approaches, and conduct feasibility studiesProvide technical leadership for integrating requirements, system design, and technology solutionsIncorporate new plans, designs, and systems into existing operational environmentsDevelop and maintain system architecture and system design documentationGuide system development and implementation planning, including Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs), System Integration and Test PlansInterface with government stakeholders regarding systems engineering technical considerations, risks, and issuesEnsure the technical integrity of work products and deliverables within the systems engineering scopeCommunicate technical status, risks, and recommendations to Program personnel, Government overseers, Senior executivesProvide Tier 3 technical support for Linux, UNIX, Microsoft/Azure, AWS, and other enterprise systems, as requiredSupport compliance with DoD cybersecurity, engineering, and operational standardsRequirementsSkills and ExperienceThe Systems Engineer must have:Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance8+ years of experience performing systems engineering in Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environmentsStrong knowledge of Systems engineering lifecycle (SELC) processes, Requirements analysis and traceability, and System architecture and design methodologiesExperience developing System requirements specifications, Architecture and design documentation, and Integration and test plansExperience leading technical teams and coordinating engineering efforts across multiple functional areasExperience integrating complex systems into operational environmentsFamiliarity with enterprise platforms and technologies, including Linux and UNIX operating systems, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or other cloud platformsExperience supporting Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) or other Intelligence Community systemsFamiliarity with system integration, validation, and test environmentsAbility to support on-call or after-hours operations as requiredEducation and CertificationsThe Systems Engineer must meet the following:Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineEquivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of a degreeMust be compliant with DoD 8140 education and certification requirementsPreferred:CompTIA Security+ CEAWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMicrosoft Azure certificationsINCOSE Systems Engineering certifications (ASEP/CSEP)BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, disability, and life insuranceFlexible Spending Accounts401(k)PTOPaid Parental LeaveTuition reimbursementPaid federal holidaysSecurity ClearanceMust be a U.S. Citizen.
