Live Broadcast Producer — Martinsville Mustangs

The Martinsville Mustangs are seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Live Broadcast Producer to help produce our live game broadcasts throughout the season. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in sports media, live production, broadcasting, and digital content. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, comfortable working in a live environment, and passionate about baseball.

Responsibilities

• Produce live video broadcasts of Martinsville Mustangs games.
• Work closely with the play-by-play broadcaster and broadcast crew to deliver an entertaining and professional viewing experience.
• Manage live broadcast graphics, including scores, player information, statistics, lineups, and promotional elements.
• Monitor cameras, audio, graphics, replays, and other broadcast elements during games.
• Coordinate transitions between live camera shots, replays, graphics, and other content.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively during live broadcasts.
• Communicate with the broadcast team throughout the game to ensure smooth execution.
• Assist with pregame and postgame production.
• Help create additional video and digital content for the Mustangs' social media and online platforms.
• Maintain an organized workflow for broadcast equipment and production materials.
• Assist with other game-day media and production responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Interest in sports broadcasting, live production, communications, media, or a related field.
• Experience with live sports production, streaming, video production, or broadcasting is preferred.
• Familiarity with production software, live-streaming platforms, cameras, graphics systems, or audio equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in a live environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new technology and production techniques.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and a baseball game schedule.
• College students, recent graduates, and aspiring sports-media professionals are encouraged to apply.

This position provides valuable hands-on experience producing live professional baseball broadcasts from the ballpark. You will have the opportunity to develop skills in live production, directing, graphics, streaming, camera operation, audio, replay, and sports-media storytelling while working alongside the Martinsville Mustangs broadcast team.
